This is your boy, ADilla, the only DEAF dude on the Mississippi Delta Community College campus. Yep, I’m back at college–decided to write a blog about this fall semester year. Move into the dorms on August 19, and man, the A/C in the dorm been my best friend for the past week with all this over triple digits weather. It’s must had been jokes week, because I got a roommate who is a band member, and apparently it’s sweet for him since he can practice his horn while for apparent reasons I’m not bothered with all the off-key butchering of songs (just playing dude!).
For a cafeteria, food is great….I’ve been to other college or universities (2) and seen worst food. I got no interpreter, but I can get by with notetakers for my two computer classes this year. And the never-ending nightmare of this fall semester is taking World Lit I. — the very class that my mom teaches …….and yes, I’m in her class. A list of books or stories that she heaping on the class : The Holy Bible, The Koran, Beowulf, Illiad, Odyessy, Hamlet …among others.
On the side, I’m just starting to experiment with audio step sequencers on my PC and make drum loops, but I thinking I’m going to have to relearn the basics of percussion from a band drummer on campus …I’ve haven’t played percussion since being in junior high band.
………………..As For now I’ll up some pics of the last week (the first week of school ) …
